About This Policy

AMRU Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 55 634 648 874 (AMRU, we, us or our), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we manage personal information in connection with the AMRU online store, customer accounts, orders and customer support. We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

Information We Collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate the store and provide customer services. Depending on how you use AMRU, this may include:

  • Identity and account details, such as your first name, last name, email address and account credentials, including a hashed password.
  • Contact and delivery details, such as your telephone number, shipping address and billing address.
  • Order and transaction information, including purchased items, totals, delivery selections, payment status, refunds and transaction references.
  • Communications you send to us, including account, order, return, complaint and support enquiries.
  • Technical information reasonably generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser or device information, security logs and website activity.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary, you consent, or collection is otherwise permitted by law.

How We Collect Information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you create or update an account, save an address, place an order, request a password reset, contact customer support or otherwise use the website. We may also receive transaction and delivery information from payment providers, delivery providers and other organisations involved in completing your order.

Browser Storage and Similar Technologies

The website uses browser storage and may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functions such as sign-in, cart continuity, checkout status, security and preferences. You can control cookies and website data through your browser, but disabling essential storage may prevent parts of the store from working correctly. AMRU does not sell personal information collected through these technologies.

Payments

Online card payments are completed through Stripe Checkout. Payment card details are entered into Stripe's checkout service and are not stored in full by AMRU. We receive information needed to manage the order, such as payment status, transaction references and limited payment-related details. Stripe handles information under its own privacy terms.

Why We Use Personal Information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

  • Create and secure customer accounts and provide password assistance.
  • Maintain customer profiles and saved delivery or billing addresses.
  • Process payments, orders, delivery, returns, exchanges and refunds.
  • Communicate about orders, availability, delivery and customer support.
  • Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve the website and customer experience.
  • Meet accounting, tax, consumer protection and other legal obligations.
  • Send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law, with an option to unsubscribe.

When We Disclose Information

We may disclose relevant personal information to organisations that help us operate the store, including Stripe and other payment service providers, delivery and courier providers, website hosting and data storage providers, email and customer communication providers, professional advisers, fraud and security providers, and regulators or law enforcement where required or authorised by law. We only provide information reasonably required for the relevant service.

Overseas Service Providers

Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Depending on the provider and its infrastructure, overseas locations may include the United States and countries in the European Economic Area. Provider locations can change. Where Australian privacy law requires it, AMRU takes reasonable steps in relation to overseas handling of personal information.

Security

AMRU uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Account passwords are stored in hashed form, and payment card entry is handled by Stripe. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required to provide services, maintain transaction and accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Access and Correction

You can review and update certain profile and address information through your customer account. You may also request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccurate information by contacting amruholdings99@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and exceptions permitted by law may apply.

Privacy Complaints

To ask a privacy question or make a complaint, email amruholdings99@gmail.com with enough information for us to understand the issue. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its last-updated date. Continued use of the website after an update does not remove any rights you have under applicable law.
